Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager (Contract) to provide strategic direction and leadership across multiple product teams during a significant transformation programme. This remote role will focus on defining product strategy and delivering key initiatives while managing complex stakeholder relationships. The ideal candidate will work independently, ensuring that execution aligns with high standards and user needs.
Responsibilities
- Define end-to-end product roadmaps and execute plans using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
- Review and sign off on user stories, sprint backlogs, and deliverables to maintain team focus and overcome obstacles.
- Manage relationships with senior stakeholders, operational leads, and third-party partners to align strategies with desired outcomes.
- Drive product decisions aimed at user-centered design and continuous improvement across delivery streams.
- Act as an expert advisor to identify client challenges and refine solution architectures.
Requirements
- Proven experience in delivering multi-team digital product initiatives in complex transformation programmes.
- Strong delivery control over scope, timelines, and cross-functional team management.
- Extensive experience in Agile/Scrum environments; GDS or public sector experience is a significant advantage.
- Ability to operate with high autonomy and accountability, focusing on delivery outcomes.
