Overview
We are seeking an experienced SQL Database Administrator to join a technology team on a contract basis for six months. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering key projects focused on operational efficiencies, working collaboratively with team members to ensure the smooth administration of SQL Server databases.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain SQL Server databases across production and non-production environments.
- Monitor and optimise database performance.
- Troubleshoot database and performance issues.
- Manage database security, permissions, and access.
- Support database deployments, migrations, and changes.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.
- Ideally some experience with MongoDB.
- Good knowledge of database performance tuning and troubleshooting.
- Experience with backups, recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery.
- Understanding of database security and access management.
