Overview
We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Platform Architect for an initial 4-month contract to support the design and implementation of a cloud-first platform for a leading media and entertainment organization. This remote role requires collaboration with a team of architects and engineers to translate complex user and application requirements into a high-performing, secure AWS infrastructure, focusing on AWS networking and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver a cloud-first platform on AWS.
- Develop architecture for VPC and routing solutions.
- Implement AWS Direct Connect and Transit Gateway configurations.
- Design secure and efficient Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).
- Work with cloud-based desktop solutions like Amazon WorkSpaces and Citrix.
- Translate user requirements into scalable infrastructure designs.
- Collaborate with engineers to optimize networking and storage solutions.
- Ensure performance and low-latency for remote workloads.
Requirements
- Proven hands-on experience in AWS architecture.
- In-depth knowledge of AWS networking concepts.
- Experience with VPC architecture and routing.
- Familiarity with AWS Direct Connect and Transit Gateway.
- Strong background in VDI solutions and architecture.
- Experience in designing remote working environments for performance.
- Ability to create high-level and low-level designs (HLD/LLD).
- Desirable experience with GPU-backed cloud workstations and high-throughput storage solutions.
