Overview
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer for an 8-month contract role with a highly regulated financial services organization. The successful candidate will work fully remotely, collaborating with teams to support and enhance the enterprise technology estate. The primary focus is to maintain business-critical systems and deliver infrastructure improvements while ensuring compliance with regulated environments.
Responsibilities
- Support and maintain core infrastructure platforms across production and non-production environments.
- Deliver infrastructure improvements, upgrades, and operational changes in line with agreed processes.
- Monitor system health, availability, and performance, taking proactive action where required.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues while identifying underlying causes.
- Contribute to infrastructure projects and production implementations.
- Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge resources.
Requirements
- Strong experience administering Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy environments.
- Solid background supporting Windows Server platforms within hybrid cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience with Azure, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Defender technologies.
- Knowledge of VMware virtualisation and enterprise backup/disaster recovery solutions.
- Good understanding of networking concepts and enterprise infrastructure operations.
- Experience working within regulated environments and following ITIL-based processes.
