Overview
We are seeking a Senior Back End Developer to participate in the creation of a new digital delivery platform. The successful candidate will work closely with a dynamic engineering team to build new services using TypeScript and C#, while also porting existing applications and business logic into the new system. This hybrid position offers the opportunity to engage with AI-assisted development tools as part of the engineering workflow.
Responsibilities
- Develop new services and BFF endpoints using TypeScript.
- Port established C#/.NET services and business logic to the new platform.
- Review and improve AI-generated code, ensuring quality and standards.
- Collaborate with team members to design and implement APIs using REST and GraphQL.
- Design and model queries and indices using OpenSearch or Elasticsearch.
- Work with message-driven architectures and contribute to the overall architecture of the system.
- Utilize experience with microservices and distributed systems in development activities.
- Engage with AWS services as needed for the project.
Requirements
- Strong experience in TypeScript and Node.js, especially with API and BFF development.
- Proficiency in C#/.NET, with at least 8 years of hands-on experience.
- Solid knowledge of REST and GraphQL APIs, along with contract-first development principles.
- Experience with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch for query design and index modeling.
- Familiarity with message-driven architectures, including queues, retries, and idempotency.
- Demonstrated use of AI coding tools, preferably Claude Code, in development.
- Experience with microservices and distributed systems is essential.
- Desirable: AWS experience, especially with IAM, SQS, and managed services; Redis experience is a plus.
