Overview
The Senior JavaScript Engineer will play a critical role in the platform team of a leading ecommerce client, focusing on both front-end and back-end development primarily using React and Node.js. This position involves collaborating with various stakeholders, designing, and building robust applications and APIs, while also promoting Agile methodologies and knowledge sharing within the team.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and business analysts to define solutions and ways of working.
- Design and build Node.js / GraphQL APIs for client-facing applications.
- Review code and provide support to team members.
- Contribute to the planning and development of systems/platforms in an Agile environment.
- Work on modern JavaScript technologies, including React and Next.js.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation processes.
- Utilize AWS managed services to integrate various components of the infrastructure.
Requirements
- Senior level experience in modern JavaScript, including ECMAScript and TypeScript.
- Proficiency in Node.js, React, and Next.js.
- Experience in designing and developing APIs or microservices.
- Familiarity with DevOps and modern infrastructure practices (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation.
- Experience working in autonomous Agile environments.
- Strong background in both front-end (React.js) and back-end (Node.js) development.
