Overview
An experienced Angular Developer is sought for a contract role focused on the front end of an analytics application for a client. The position involves building and improving user-facing interfaces, supporting a critical decision-making tool. With opportunities for hybrid or fully remote work, the contractor will work closely with the development team to deliver responsive and accessible experiences while ensuring application reliability and performance.
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and improve Angular interfaces for the client’s analytics application.
- Develop reusable, well-organised components and implement responsive, accessible user experiences.
- Connect application features to proprietary services and REST APIs, handling data and errors reliably.
- Write and maintain automated tests to support dependable releases and ongoing development.
- Participate in code reviews and follow agreed engineering, security, and delivery practices.
- Investigate and resolve front-end defects, including issues affecting browser behaviour or performance.
- Learn the project’s tools and processes quickly, collaborate with the team, and contribute to a high-priority delivery.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience developing production applications with Angular and TypeScript.
- Practical knowledge of Angular components, routing, forms, dependency injection, RxJS, and state-management approaches.
- Solid HTML and CSS skills, including building responsive layouts and applying practical web accessibility standards.
- Experience integrating front-end applications with REST APIs and managing authentication, authorisation, errors, and asynchronous data flows securely.
- Experience writing automated unit, component, and end-to-end tests, and working with code review and CI/CD practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to investigate browser, application, and performance issues.
- A sound understanding of front-end security and clear communication skills for working effectively with engineering colleagues.
