Overview
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Consultant to engage in a six-month project focusing on migrating on-premises services to a multi-region, highly available Azure environment. The consultant will work closely with our team to implement cloud platform work, ensuring automation, security, and operational readiness. This role requires collaboration during workshops and deliverable reviews, leveraging your technical expertise to drive the project to successful completion.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver an Azure landing zone, migrating on-premises services to Azure platform (PaaS and IaaS). Implement DevSecOps practices, embedding security controls and testing in build and release pipelines. Extend and harden existing Terraform and PowerShell module libraries to automate operational processes. Develop monitoring, dashboards, and reporting for usage and uptime of migrated platforms. Create operational runbooks, incident response guidance, and security documentation for knowledge transfer. Provide a written assessment identifying further improvement opportunities for tooling, processes, and cloud costs.
Requirements
- Proven track record in delivering Azure migrations and establishing landing zones. Strong hands-on expertise in Terraform, PowerShell, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and Docker. Experience in implementing DevSecOps practices and securing CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge of designing monitoring and observability for production cloud platforms. Ability to independently scope, plan, and deliver work against agreed outcomes.
