Overview
The Application Support Engineer role involves working within a small, expert team dedicated to supporting multiple ETRM systems in a global commodities trading environment. The successful applicant will collaborate with internal teams and offshore resources to deliver effective application support, including system upgrades, troubleshooting, and integrations, while gaining exposure to significant business transformations within the trading sector.
Responsibilities
- Provide general BAU application support for various ETRM systems.
- Conduct system upgrades and manage project work related to application support.
- Implement and troubleshoot ETRM integrations and incidents.
- Assist in new system implementations and migrations across multiple platforms.
- Work closely with internal teams and offshore resources to support users globally.
- Understand and support trading and commodity processes in the ETRM environment.
- Facilitate communication and manage stakeholder expectations across different departments.
Requirements
- Strong experience in application support, particularly in ETRM environments.
- Desirable experience with Endur or similar ETRM systems.
- Proficient in SQL and able to troubleshoot application issues effectively.
- Understanding of the functional aspects of ETRMs and trading processes.
- Experience working in both BAU and project environments.
- Ability to collaborate across multiple applications and systems.
- Financial Services or commodities knowledge is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder management capabilities.
