Overview
The Senior AI Engineer will collaborate with business stakeholders to design, build, and deploy advanced AI solutions that drive business transformation in a commodities trading environment. This hands-on engineering role requires a blend of AI technology and software development skills to create impactful applications and automation workflows, effectively contributing to operational efficiency and decision-making processes.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy AI-powered applications, LLM workflows, and agentic AI solutions.
- Build production-grade applications and integrations using modern engineering frameworks.
- Develop RAG pipelines, vector database integrations, and AI automation workflows.
- Work across Python, React, Node.js, and cloud technologies to deliver scalable solutions.
- Partner directly with business teams to identify opportunities for AI improvement.
- Own solutions end-to-end, from architecture and development to deployment and optimization.
Requirements
- Software engineering experience within financial services, commodities, or similar industries.
- Strong Python and full-stack development experience, particularly with React and Node.js.
- Experience in building APIs, integrations, data pipelines, and cloud-native applications.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Practical experience with LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, AI agents, or AI automation.
- Strong understanding of software delivery, production ownership, and enterprise engineering practices.
