Overview
The Python Developer will join a dynamic, engineering-focused team responsible for building the next generation of a cloud platform. This role involves developing modern, event-driven applications and taking full ownership from development through to production while collaborating closely with Product Owners and Platform Engineers.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain cloud-native applications using Python and Java.
- Implement microservices and event-driven systems in GCP Cloud Run.
- Integrate APIs and workflows using Pub/Sub, Eventarc, and Cloud Workflows.
- Utilize Terraform for infrastructure as code and automate deployments with Cloud Build.
- Manage Docker containers and CI/CD pipelines for efficient development cycles.
- Conduct automated testing and participate in DevOps practices to ensure high-quality releases.
Requirements
- Proven experience in developing applications using Python; Java is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of GCP Cloud Run and Serverless Architecture.
- Familiarity with microservices and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with Pub/Sub, Eventarc, and Cloud Workflows.
- Proficient in using Terraform for infrastructure management.
- Understanding of Docker and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
- Background in automated testing and DevOps methodologies.
- Ability to work in self-organising teams with minimal overhead.
