Overview
The Senior Technical Business Analyst plays a critical role in aligning business needs with technical solutions, providing analysis and driving enhancements in processes and systems. This position involves collaborating with development teams and stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions while fulfilling the requirements for Security Check (SC) clearance. The successful candidate will utilize their technical expertise to produce detailed documentation and facilitate system integration efforts.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyse requirements, translating them into functional and technical specifications.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and system optimisation.
- Perform root cause analysis and lead workshops to define requirements.
- Produce high-quality documentation such as Functional Specifications and Data Mapping Documents.
- Work closely with engineering teams to define solution design and feasibility.
- Support system integration efforts, ensuring alignment with APIs and data flows.
- Validate solutions to ensure they meet business needs and are technically sound.
- Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning and execution.
Requirements
- Significant experience as a Senior Business Analyst in technical environments, preferably within public sector.
- Proven experience in writing detailed functional and technical specifications.
- Hands-on experience with SQL, data analysis, and system integrations.
- Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language.
- Experience in change management and process transformation.
- Eligibility for Security Check (SC) clearance, with residence in the UK for at least 5 years.
