Overview
The AWS DevOps Engineer will be integral to a significant government programme, focusing on creating and managing secure cloud infrastructures within AWS. The contractor will collaborate with a team to implement cutting-edge cloud solutions and ensure the reliability and security of digital services for the public sector.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform.
- Build, optimise, and support CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
- Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot containerised applications with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
- Automate operational and deployment processes using Python and Bash scripting.
- Maintain security, compliance, and governance standards across cloud environments.
Requirements
- Active SC Clearance (mandatory).
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and Terraform.
- Commercial experience with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS preferred).
- Proficiency in GitHub Actions and Jenkins for CI/CD.
- Linux administration, Bash scripting, and Python automation skills.
- Solid understanding of IAM and cloud security principles.
