Overview
The role of Azure Software Engineer involves working within the New Vehicle Sales team to support the delivery and maintenance of applications as part of a significant AS400 modernisation programme. The contractor will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and other technical teams to design and develop high-quality solutions using Azure technologies. The position offers an exciting opportunity to engage in a modern technology stack while contributing to various applications critical for vehicle operations.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Business Analysts to gather functional requirements and develop new features.
- Participate in code reviews and testing as part of feature delivery.
- Develop and support Azure applications and integration components using Microsoft Azure technologies.
- Create applications using C# and JavaScript, along with supporting database solutions with SQL MI and Azure SQL.
- Build data pipelines and ETL processes using Azure Data Factory and other Azure data services.
- Conduct unit and integration test automation to ensure code coverage and quality.
- Manage code, builds, and automation of releases through Azure DevOps or GitHub.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Azure infrastructure and applications.
Requirements
- Proven experience with Azure and cloud-native technologies.
- Strong expertise in .NET technologies, particularly C#.
- Full-stack development experience including UI and database integration.
- Familiarity with SQL databases and data processing with Azure Data Factory.
- Experience in continuous integration, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
- Demonstrated ability to work in Agile environments, particularly Agile Scrum.
- Excellent collaborative and communication skills for teamwork and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience building Azure resources and ensuring security best practices.
