Overview
The contract Data Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting a high-profile digital consultancy project for a major Central Government department. Working in a hybrid environment, the analyst will contribute to either the Business Intelligence or Performance Analysis streams, focusing on building complex Power BI dashboards or analyzing digital service performance with Google Analytics. This role requires candidates with a background in the UK public sector and knowledge of GDS standards to effectively communicate data insights.
Responsibilities
- Build and refine complex Power BI dashboards to drive strategic data decisions.
- Track user journeys and analyze web traffic and digital service performance using Google Analytics (GA4).
- Ensure compliance with Government Digital Service (GDS) guidelines in project deliverables.
- Utilize SQL for querying, manipulating, and extracting relevant data for analysis.
- Translate complex data findings into clear insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance data-driven decision-making processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in the UK public sector, particularly within central government.
