Overview
The Lead Backend Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing and enhancing a scalable workflow orchestration platform utilized in a complex enterprise setting. Working primarily with Go and distributed systems, the engineer will tackle challenging backend problems and contribute to technical decisions and architectural development. This position involves close collaboration with other team members to ensure robust system performance in a cloud-native environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and evolution of a highly scalable backend platform.
- Implement and optimize distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
- Design and maintain reliable and fault-tolerant backend services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate APIs using gRPC and Protobuf.
- Contribute to technical architecture discussions and decision-making.
- Ensure system performance and scalability in cloud-native environments.
- Oversee the deployment and management of applications using Kubernetes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in production-level Go (Golang) development.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native platforms.
- Knowledge of gRPC and Protobuf for API design and integration.
- Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools, such as Temporal.
- Experience in building resilient and scalable backend services.
- Bonus: Experience with multi-tenant SaaS platforms and high-throughput systems.
- Bonus: Understanding of identity, security, and audit requirements in backend systems.
