Overview
We are seeking a Building Engineer to support a major gas terminal development project through its EPC phase. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary engineering teams, architectural subcontractors, and clients to ensure effective coordination and delivery of architectural and building engineering activities on-site. This role is integral to maintaining project specifications and technical standards throughout the construction process.
Responsibilities
- Review the client’s technical documentation and maintain project technical files.
- Coordinate and manage external architectural engineering subcontractors.
- Review design specifications and coordinate architectural and structural design during site execution.
- Support on structural aspects and material selection for buildings and modules.
- Prepare and review architectural design specifications and relevant civil works specifications.
- Develop functional architectural layouts with input from engineering teams.
- Prepare material specifications and the architectural Basis of Design (BoD).
- Liaise with clients and project stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in architectural/building engineering in a construction or site-based environment.
- Experience in Oil & Gas, Industrial, Energy, or Commercial construction projects.
- Strong ability in reviewing and coordinating architectural and building engineering documentation.
- Experience coordinating external engineering subcontractors and reviewing technical designs.
- Understanding of building materials, specifications, and management.
- Ability to interpret and coordinate architectural and structural design requirements.
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary project environment.
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
