Overview
We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to contribute to a Financial Crime change programme within a regulated financial services context. The analyst will work collaboratively to map end-to-end business processes, translating them into effective policies and procedural documentation while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Engagement with various stakeholders including Compliance, Operations, and Financial Crime teams will be critical to the role.
Responsibilities
- Create detailed end-to-end process maps defining current and future-state processes.
- Analyze existing processes to identify gaps, inefficiencies, risks, and control weaknesses; recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, process documentation, and operating models.
- Translate regulatory requirements into clear operational processes.
- Document roles, responsibilities, controls, decision points, hand-offs, exceptions, and escalation routes.
- Support implementation of revised processes ensuring alignment with the target operating model.
- Facilitate workshops to elicit requirements and validate process designs.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in a complex, regulated environment.
- Strong expertise in creating end-to-end process maps from discovery to implementation.
- Experience in writing and maintaining policies, procedures, and operational documentation.
- Demonstrated stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
- Ability to translate complex requirements into structured processes and documentation.
- Experience in analyzing current-state vs. future-state processes and identifying improvements or control gaps.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Desirable experience in Financial Crime, AML, KYC, or CDD environments; familiarity with the UK regulatory framework is a plus.
