Business Analyst

Overview

The Business Analyst will be contracted to support a consultancy partner in delivering a transformation programme for a large public sector organisation. They will engage with a diverse range of stakeholders from business, technical, and compliance areas to understand existing processes, capture necessary requirements, and facilitate improvements within a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and document business and non-functional requirements.
  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops and discovery sessions.
  • Conduct process analysis, gap analysis, and impact assessments.
  • Review existing processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Assess risks, dependencies, and governance considerations.
  • Support service and process design activities.
  • Produce clear documentation, recommendations, and project artefacts.
  • Collaborate closely with delivery, technical, and compliance teams.

Requirements

  • Strong Business Analysis experience in transformation or technology programmes.
  • Essential public sector experience.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills.
  • Experience with requirements gathering and process mapping.
  • Skill in conducting impact assessments and risk analysis.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
  • Experience in regulated or governance-heavy environments.
  • GxP experience and familiarity with healthcare or life sciences is a plus.
