C&I Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a skilled C&I Engineer with extensive experience in oil refinery turnarounds, particularly in RFCC units. The contractor will play a crucial role in the planning, preparation, and execution phases of a major turnaround project, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure readiness for shutdown and commissioning. This position offers a long-term contract opportunity with a competitive rate.

Responsibilities

  • Review and validate C&I turnaround work scope.
  • Prepare management of change documentation.
  • Oversee detailed work pack development.
  • Identify resource and vendor requirements.
  • Produce job plans, task lists, and cost and labour estimates.
  • Coordinate vendor activities for SIS, DCS, PLCs, instrumentation, and analysers.
  • Support punch list and close-out activities.

Requirements

  • 10+ years' experience in oil refining, petrochemical, or COMAH facilities.
  • Proven turnaround planning and preparation experience.
  • Background working on oil refinery turnaround projects, particularly in cracking/RFCC units.
  • Strong Control & Instrumentation technical background, covering DCS, SIS, PLC, instrumentation, analyser, and field device maintenance.
  • Experience with SAP PM or equivalent maintenance management systems.
  • Ability to develop detailed work packs and execution plans.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, coordinating with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Turnaround teams.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
