Overview
We are seeking an experienced Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Programmer with strong Edgecam programming expertise to join our engineering team in a contract role. The successful candidate will work on challenging precision machining projects for the aerospace and defence sectors, focusing on developing and optimising CNC machining programs. Responsibilities
- Produce CNC programs using Edgecam.
- Develop machining strategies for complex aerospace and defence components.
- Support production teams with technical expertise and troubleshooting.
- Optimise cycle times and machining processes.
- Assist with tooling selection and manufacturing improvements.
- Interpret engineering drawings and CAD models.
- Support new product introductions and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CAD/CAM Engineer, CNC Programmer, or Machining Engineer.
- Strong working knowledge of Edgecam.
- Experience within a precision machining environment.
- Understanding of CNC milling and/or turning processes.
- Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Experience working to tight tolerances and demanding quality standards.
- Background in aerospace, defence, motorsport, or other highly regulated industries is advantageous.
