Overview
We are seeking a Consultant Flow Assurance Engineer to provide expert Flow Assurance analysis and technical support for various projects within our global engineering community. In this contract role, you will report directly to the Flow Assurance Study Manager and collaborate with a team of professionals to ensure optimal solutions are developed and communicated effectively. This position offers an opportunity to operate independently while also mentoring junior engineers in a dynamic, environmentally-conscious workplace focused on advancing the energy transition.
Responsibilities
- Perform and lead flow assurance studies, ensuring high-quality results and reporting.
- Develop engineering solutions tailored to specific project requirements.
- Prepare and check flow assurance calculations and reports in line with project quality standards.
- Collaborate with project teams and communicate regularly with clients to meet objectives.
- Participate in business development activities to support Genesis offices globally.
- Engage in project presentations and knowledge-sharing initiatives within the global flow assurance team.
- Assist in the development and mentoring of junior engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field; professional engineering qualifications (CEng/PEng) preferred.
- Significant experience using OLGA for flow assurance studies.
- Demonstrated experience with flow assurance in concept and detailed design phases.
- Proficiency in relevant software, including MS Office, OLGA, and simulation tools like PipeSIM or PVTSim.
- Strong report writing and communication skills in English.
- Capability to analyze complex problems and propose effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Understanding of thermodynamics and experience with related software tools like Multiflash or CFD/FEA methods is an advantage.
- Experience in energy transition projects focused on H2 and CO2 is beneficial.
