Overview
This role as a Cyber Security Engagement and Community Coordinator offers an exciting opportunity within a global organisation's EMEA cyber security team. The contractor will collaborate with the EMEA Head of Cyber Security and colleagues across Europe, focusing on enhancing community engagement and awareness, organizing major events, and coordinating regional initiatives. Ideal for individuals looking to expand their cyber security exposure while leveraging their organizational and communication skills, this position supports a collaborative and engaging work environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in organizing and delivering a major EMEA cyber security conference, managing venues, speakers, agendas, and stakeholder coordination.
- Support the development of an EMEA cyber security community SharePoint site in collaboration with an external consultancy.
- Coordinate regional working groups discussing European cyber security regulations, such as NIS2 and the Cyber Resilience Act.
- Research and curate open-source cyber security intelligence, including news, regulatory updates, and threats for the EMEA security community.
- Build relationships with cyber security, IT, data protection, and other stakeholders across various European businesses.
- Support additional cyber security community engagement activities as needed.
Requirements
- Experience in cyber security awareness, communications, events, or programme coordination is essential.
- Some prior exposure to cyber security concepts is important, along with a desire to deepen this knowledge.
- Strong organizational skills and the confidence to communicate with diverse stakeholders are critical.
- Experience with SharePoint Online is advantageous but not mandatory.
