Overview
We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer for a 3-month contract focused on a significant Retail Transformation Programme. This hybrid role will involve close collaboration with retail stakeholders to design and deliver impactful Power BI reporting solutions while navigating the complexities of retail, omnichannel, and finance reporting environments.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver enterprise Power BI reporting solutions for retail transformation workstreams.
- Build high-quality Power BI dashboards and reports based on complex retail requirements.
- Develop semantic models using dimensional and star-schema principles.
- Create complex DAX measures, KPIs, and Power Query transformations.
- Collaborate with retail and omnichannel stakeholders to define meaningful business metrics.
- Integrate Power BI with SQL Server, Azure, Databricks, APIs, SharePoint, and other data sources.
- Optimize datasets, refresh processes, and report performance.
- Implement Row-Level Security and data governance best practices.
Requirements
- Strong experience in the Retail sector with Power BI solutions.
- Proficiency in Power BI Desktop & Service, DAX, and Power Query (M).
- Experience with SQL/T-SQL, data modeling, and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with large-scale retail datasets including sales and customer data.
- Understanding of data governance and best practices implementing security measures.
- Experience with Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, or Microsoft Fabric is advantageous.
- Proven ability to transition reporting solutions into Business as Usual (BAU).
