Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join a specialist data analytics team within a major UK regulatory organisation. The successful candidate will leverage strong data analysis, visualization skills, and stakeholder engagement abilities to transform complex datasets into actionable insights, ultimately enhancing regulatory supervision in the financial services sector. This role will involve collaboration with both business and technical teams in a hybrid working environment, focusing on the development of dashboards, data quality improvement, and data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Analyze large-scale, complex datasets from multiple sources to extract insights.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and visualizations using Tableau and/or Power BI.
- Assess, validate, and improve data quality to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, facilitate feedback, and communicate findings.
- Identify trends, anomalies, and risks from data to support decision-making processes.
- Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams while working independently.
- Translate complex data insights into actionable business recommendations.
- Support evidence-based decision-making for regulatory supervision and reporting.
Requirements
- 2-5 years' experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or related data-focused roles.
- Strong SQL skills with experience in analyzing complex datasets.
- Experience with AWS technologies such as S3, Athena, and/or DynamoDB.
- Proficiency in developing dashboards and visualizations using Tableau and/or Power BI.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working in financial services or regulatory environments is highly desirable.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks independently while collaborating with teams.
- Strong communication skills to effectively translate data insights into recommendations.
