Overview
This role seeks a Data Analyst to provide analytical support within a retail organization for an initial 3-month contract, predominantly working on-site. The contractor will engage with various internal teams to deliver insights through data analysis, responding to ad hoc requests, and focusing on stock-related investigations to enhance operational performance.
Responsibilities
- Deliver operational and commercial analysis to support business decision-making.
- Respond to ad hoc data requests from internal teams and external partners.
- Investigate and analyze stock-related data for upcoming stock take activities.
- Produce reporting and visualizations using Power BI.
- Write and develop SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data.
- Provide analytical insights on stock performance, banking data, delivery KPIs, and operational investigations.
Requirements
- Strong experience using Power BI for reporting and data visualization.
- Strong SQL development and data analysis capability.
- Experience in a Data Analyst role focusing on operational and ad hoc analysis.
- Ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Experience with stock, inventory, warehousing, or supply chain data is highly desirable.
- Retail sector experience is preferred.
- Python experience for analysis is advantageous.
