Overview
The Data and Impact Manager will play a pivotal role in leading the data and impact function for an educational charity focused on enhancing technical education through University Technical Colleges (UTCs). This part-time position, reporting to the Director of Programmes, involves developing and utilizing data to evaluate initiatives, drive improvements, and demonstrate the charity's impact. The contractor will collaborate with UTC leaders and stakeholders to provide insightful analyses that support the charity's mission of transforming young people's lives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the data and impact function to ensure high-quality evidence and insights are available for UTCs.
- Oversee the collection, validation, and analysis of educational and organisational data.
- Transform complex data into accessible reports, dashboards, and recommendations.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to enhance existing data provision and set future strategic directions.
- Conduct summer examination analyses and performance reporting to evaluate programmes.
- Champion evidence-based decision-making within the organisation.
- Support the evaluation of Baker Dearing’s initiatives and impact analysis.
Requirements
- Educated to degree level in a relevant field.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency in Power BI or similar data visualization tools.
- Proven experience in evaluating educational programmes and demonstrating organisational impact.
- Strong data analytics capabilities with a focus on translating insights into actionable strategies.
- Experience in project management from inception to completion in independent or team settings.
- Familiarity with the education sector, particularly with UTCs or technical education, is preferred.
- High level of English language proficiency.
