Overview
As a Data Architect, you will assess and optimize the data landscape and architecture within key business domains such as Customer, Finance, and Network. Collaborating with stakeholders, you will conduct workshops to understand their needs and create a comprehensive data architecture to support future analytics and AI initiatives. The role primarily involves designing target-state data architectures and producing relevant documentation for senior stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Assess the current data landscape and architecture across various domains, including GCP/BigQuery Data Lakehouse.
- Conduct stakeholder workshops to gather requirements and understand data flows and pain points.
- Map data sources, integrations, and pipelines while identifying issues related to quality and scalability.
- Design the target-state data architecture, including models, technology stacks, and governance frameworks.
- Produce architecture documentation, maturity assessments, and technology roadmaps.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Data Architecture or Data Engineering with a focus on enterprise data platforms.
- Strong hands-on experience with GCP and BigQuery, particularly in large-scale Data Lakehouse environments.
- Proficient in ETL/ELT processes, data integration, APIs, and data modelling techniques.
- Knowledgeable in data governance, quality, metadata management, and compliance with GDPR.
- Experience in client-facing roles with a strong ability to manage stakeholder relationships.
- Telecoms industry experience is highly advantageous.
