Overview
The Interim Data Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in enhancing and developing data capabilities within a private equity investment organization. This position involves collaborating with various departments, including Investment, Finance, Operations, Technology, and Data, to assess business needs and translate them into actionable data solutions. The analyst will engage with stakeholders to ensure that business requirements are effectively transformed into data specifications and user stories.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify data requirements.
- Translate business needs into clear data specifications and user stories.
- Analyze and interrogate data using strong SQL skills.
- Manage stakeholder relationships to ensure effective communication between business and technical teams.
- Support data transformation, ensuring data quality and mapping.
- Assist in the implementation and integration of data platforms and systems.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Data Business Analyst or similar role.
- Strong background in private equity, asset management, or financial services.
- Proficient in SQL with the capability to independently analyze data.
- Demonstrated experience in translating business requirements into data specifications.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of data transformation processes and data quality assurance.
- Familiarity with Investran and private equity fund operations is highly valued.
- Experience with data migrations and system implementations is a plus.
