Overview
The Solar H&S Consultant will provide health and safety consultation and compliance solutions for a utility-scale solar PV construction site. Working closely with clients, this role focuses on risk assessments, site safety oversight, and the development of health and safety policies. The consultant will leverage their expertise in health and safety management to ensure the project meets high standards of safety and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Provide health and safety consultation on site for a utility-scale solar PV construction project.
- Conduct complex health and safety risk assessments and prepare detailed reports.
- Oversee site safety and deliver construction site-based safety advice.
- Identify environmental health and safety risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Act as an advisor to clients to support high-quality decision-making.
- Assist businesses in writing and implementing health and safety policies.
Requirements
- NEBOSH Diploma Level 6 in Health & Safety Management or equivalent.
- Chartered Membership (CMIOSH) preferred or working towards.
- NEBOSH Fire and NEBOSH Construction certifications beneficial.
- Current CSCS card required.
- Recent experience with health and safety risk assessments on utility-scale solar PV construction sites.
- Experience in writing and advising on health and safety policies for global organizations.
- Strong report writing, presentation, and communication skills.
