Overview
The Data Engineer position is a long-term contract role focused on leading and delivering major data, cloud, and AI transformation programs. The consultant will collaborate with senior business stakeholders and technical teams, influencing decision-making and shaping solutions in a complex enterprise environment. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, stakeholder management, and consulting capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to understand business requirements and shape data strategies.
- Lead technical discussions and workshops to influence both business and technology teams.
- Design and build modern data platforms, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
- Implement data pipelines and conduct ETL/ELT processes for large-scale data integration.
- Translate business requirements into pragmatic technical solutions.
- Deliver within Agile environments, ensuring timely project completion.
- Provide architectural guidance and establish best practices for data solutions.
- Engage in ongoing consulting and delivery activities across various transformation programs.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or Cloud Data Platforms.
- Strong consulting background with a proven track record in client-facing delivery.
- Advanced proficiency in Python and expertise in SQL and data modeling.
- Experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms and familiarity with Databricks or Snowflake.
- Hands-on experience designing and building modern data platforms.
- Proficiency in data pipeline creation, ETL/ELT processes, and large-scale data integration.
- Ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels in complex organizations.
- Experience working in Agile methodologies and delivering enterprise-level solutions.
