Overview
We are looking for an experienced Agile Business Analyst to support a digital transformation program within a local authority environment on a 6-month contract. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and project leadership to translate business needs into clear requirements and ensure successful delivery of change. This hybrid role will involve approximately two days on-site per week, with a focus on bridging the gap between business and technology to facilitate tangible improvements.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand business needs, challenges, and objectives.
- Elicit, analyse, and document business requirements for delivery teams.
- Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, and requirements-gathering sessions.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Support sprint planning, backlog refinement, and prioritisation within an Agile environment.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, Testers, and Project Managers throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Map existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support User Acceptance Testing, including scenario development and defect resolution.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in Agile delivery environments.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
- Experience in gathering, analysing, and documenting complex business requirements.
- Demonstrable ability to produce user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
- Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
- Experience with business process mapping and process improvement.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
