Overview
We are seeking a Data Protection & Privacy Compliance Manager on a contract basis to support and enhance compliance with UK GDPR and GDPR across the organization. This role will involve working closely with various teams, delivering privacy awareness sessions, and ensuring effective governance of outsourced services as part of a hybrid working model. The position is expected to last approximately 6-7 months with a focus on strengthening the organization's privacy compliance framework and managing privacy risks.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance Records of Processing Activities (ROPA) and associated compliance documentation.
- Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and assess privacy risks.
- Provide specialist regulatory advice on data transfers and third-party compliance.
- Manage outsourced privacy compliance services and third-party relationships.
- Support data breach response activities and compliance monitoring.
- Deliver privacy awareness sessions and knowledge-transfer activities.
- Monitor developments in data protection legislation and industry practices.
- Produce periodic compliance and risk reports for senior stakeholders.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in data privacy and protection compliance, particularly with ROPA and DPIAs.
- Hands-on expertise in conducting privacy risk assessments and regulatory compliance.
- Experience in managing outsourced services and third-party relationships.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Familiarity with data protection legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Proficient in using enterprise privacy management platforms and tools.
