Overview
We are looking for a skilled Data Reporting Analyst to join a specialist insurance business for an initial three-month contract. In this role, the analyst will collaborate with business stakeholders, data analysts, and software developers to automate reports, enhance data quality, and improve reporting efficiency. The position will focus on developing high-quality data solutions that drive better business insights and align with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Document existing reports and develop technical specifications for automation.
- Develop, test, and implement automated reporting solutions.
- Build and maintain interactive Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models.
- Write SQL queries, stored procedures, and DAX calculations.
- Manage data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
- Gather business requirements, support user acceptance testing (UAT), and provide end-user training.
- Ensure data quality and governance standards are maintained.
- Configure Power BI Service, Row-Level Security (RLS), and scheduled refreshes.
Requirements
- Experience within the Lloyd’s insurance market.
- Excellent skills in SQL, Excel, and Power BI, including DAX.
- Experience with ETL processes, data modelling, and large datasets.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Confidence in engaging with senior stakeholders and technical teams.
- A degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related discipline is desirable.
