Overview
As a Data Scientist, you will be integral to developing a next-generation platform focused on enhancing customer search, discovery, and interaction with products through AI. Collaborating with a high-performing team, you will engage in building intelligent systems that leverage agentic AI, recommendation engines, and personalisation strategies, directly impacting user experiences. This position emphasizes delivering actionable insights and models that transition from experimentation to production environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, evaluate, and improve machine learning models for search, personalisation, and recommendations.
- Explore agentic AI concepts to enhance discovery experiences for users.
- Work hands-on with large datasets using Python, SQL, and Snowflake to develop features and evaluate models.
- Identify opportunities to enhance relevance, engagement, and overall customer experience.
- Utilize model explainability techniques, such as SHAP, to clarify model behavior for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Data, Product, and Engineering teams to shape the next generation of the platform.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Data Scientist with a strong background in machine learning and AI concepts.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with Snowflake is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work with large datasets and develop production-level models.
- Familiarity with agentic AI, recommendation systems, and personalisation strategies.
- Knowledge of model explainability techniques and their practical applications.
- Strong analytical skills to derive insights and impact from data-driven projects.
