Overview
This role involves leading data architecture for a major reinsurance transformation project. The Data Solution Architect will work closely with senior team members and project delivery groups to design and implement data solutions that support the integration of advanced technologies like Azure and Databricks into existing systems. The position is a 12-month contract and offers a hybrid working arrangement with 2-3 days on-site per week.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop data architecture solutions for ceded reinsurance implementation.
- Support the integration of CenataSure with existing data platforms and systems.
- Design scalable data solutions across Azure and Databricks.
- Define data integration patterns, data flows, and overall solution architecture.
- Collaborate with business analysts, project stakeholders, and technology vendors throughout the project.
- Translate complex reinsurance business requirements into robust technical designs.
- Provide architectural guidance on data migration, transformation, and integration.
- Ensure solutions comply with enterprise architecture standards and strategic objectives.
Requirements
- Strong experience as a Data Solution Architect or Data Architect in complex data transformation.
- Excellent knowledge of Azure and Databricks in enterprise data environments.
- Prior experience in reinsurance, especially ceded/outwards reinsurance or within the Lloyd's/London Market.
- Strong understanding of data integration, data modeling, and solution architecture.
- Experience designing data solutions involving multiple platforms and system integrations.
- Proven track record across discovery, solution design, and implementation phases.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, particularly with external technology vendors.
- Desirable experience with CenataSure or similar platforms in reinsurance environments.
