Overview
As a Senior Delivery Manager, you will take a pivotal role in leading a key Discovery phase for a central government consultancy. This remote position focuses on bridging product strategy with execution, fostering collaboration among teams, and implementing governance for sustainable project success. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and cross-functional teams to drive the development of high-quality digital services that align with government standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Discovery phase of projects, ensuring alignment with Government Digital Service (GDS) standards.
- Facilitate agile project management methodologies, learning and iterating frequently.
- Collaborate with product and service managers to define product roadmaps.
- Prioritize tasks and manage team capacity through dynamic planning processes.
- Initiate and sustain Agile ceremonies tailored to team needs, enhancing efficiency.
- Oversee product quality assurance in accordance with GDS Service Manual requirements.
- Remove obstacles for the delivery team, fostering inter-team collaboration.
- Equip the delivery team with necessary tools and processes for successful outcomes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in leading Discovery phases in line with GDS frameworks.
- Strong background in agile environments with an emphasis on continuous improvement.
- Ability to effectively manage project risks and offer timely solutions.
- Experience in mentoring and leading cross-functional delivery teams.
- Solid understanding of product lifecycle and ability to translate business needs into outcomes.
- Proven ability to build effective relationships across various business units.
- Experience delivering large-scale public sector projects, adhering to GDS standards.
