Overview
We are seeking a Senior Automation Test Analyst to lead the automation testing strategy in a dynamic software development environment focused on engineering excellence and AI-driven solutions. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with engineering and product teams and take on a technical leadership role, mentoring others and shaping quality practices in software development. This remote-friendly, contract position offers the opportunity to influence modern automation practices and integrate AI into testing workflows.
Responsibilities
- Lead the evolution of the organization’s automation testing strategy.
- Develop and maintain automated test frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript.
- Champion AI-assisted testing practices to enhance engineering productivity.
- Drive a shift-left testing approach to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.
- Design and execute automated UI, API, and end-to-end test suites.
- Support performance, security, accessibility, and compatibility testing.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Mentor and coach engineers to establish consistent automation standards.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience with Playwright.
- Excellent TypeScript development skills.
- Experience in designing, building, and maintaining automation frameworks.
- API testing experience with REST APIs or tools like Postman.
- Strong SQL skills for data validation.
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline integration of automated testing.
- Knowledge of Agile software delivery practices.
- Experience mentoring or leading other Automation Engineers.
