Overview
We are seeking an Infrastructure Planning & Design Specialist to join a dynamic Connectivity & Infrastructure team. This hands-on role will focus on the planning, design, and engineering governance for infrastructure build activities, ensuring that all designs meet quality standards and operational needs. The specialist will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to create effective solutions that align with engineering principles and project requirements.
Responsibilities
- Produce detailed infrastructure designs, drawings, and design packs in compliance with engineering standards.
- Apply established design frameworks and technical standards across various infrastructure domains.
- Support the end-to-end design lifecycle, ensuring compliance with architectural and regulatory requirements.
- Review and validate site-specific requirements, including power and cooling considerations.
- Provide input into capacity planning and optimize site utilization and power availability.
- Participate in design reviews and incorporate technical feedback from stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate documentation and version control in alignment with design governance processes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of design standards and processes.
Requirements
- Experience in infrastructure planning, design, or engineering.
- Understanding of network, fibre, power, and data centre infrastructure.
- Proven ability to produce or review engineering drawings and CAD designs.
- Familiarity with CAD or other infrastructure design tools.
- Knowledge of build, deployment, and commissioning processes for infrastructure solutions.
- Experience in interpreting engineering drawings and site layouts.
- Awareness of safety, regulatory, compliance, and risk-management requirements.
- Strong documentation skills with attention to detail and data management.
