Overview
We are seeking an experienced Section Engineer to support a major civil engineering and tunnelling project in North Wales. The successful candidate will work within a delivery team, overseeing site engineers and ensuring the project's engineering delivery meets all specifications and requirements. This role demands coordination with site management and subcontractors, focusing on quality, health, safety, and environmental standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage engineering delivery across assigned section of works.
- Oversee Site Engineers, providing guidance on setting out and engineering controls.
- Ensure works are conducted in accordance with drawings, specifications, and project timelines.
- Manage Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), quality assurance documentation, and engineering records.
- Coordinate temporary works and resolve technical and design issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with site management and subcontractors to ensure project alignment.
- Ensure all work meets health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Section Engineer in civil engineering.
- Strong background in heavy civils or major infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience in managing and supporting Site Engineers.
- Expertise in setting out, quality assurance, and technical assurance practices.
- Strong understanding of temporary works.
- Experience with tunnelling, shafts, underground infrastructure, or major reinforced concrete projects is advantageous.
