Overview
We are seeking a Test Engineer to join our team, focusing on the integration, testing, and validation of vehicle systems related to Telematics, Connectivity, Infotainment, and Diagnostics. In this hands-on role, the selected candidate will work directly with vehicles and test rigs to ensure the development of robust technical solutions while collaborating with functional teams and suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Support the continuous construction, maintenance, and management of test rigs and vehicles across Telematics, Connectivity, Infotainment, and Diagnostics.
- Capture and specify system integration and test requirements.
- Support test planning and validation activities to ensure systems and components achieve required quality targets.
- Plan and manage project-related activities on a weekly basis.
- Report project status and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
- Investigate complex system test and integration challenges using company tools.
- Analyse vehicle logs and manage integration issues to establish root causes and deliver effective solutions.
- Automate testing using Python, Robot Framework, and Anna Framework.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience working with vehicles gained within a dealership, OEM, or similar automotive environment.
- Familiarity with vehicle software and test benches.
- Experience working with different vehicle components on a test bench.
- Familiarity with the vehicle lifecycle and associated software processes.
- A practical technician skillset with the capability to work on vehicles.
- Experience of vehicle/system testing, integration, and fault investigation.
- Ability to analyse vehicle logs and support root cause investigation.
- Knowledge of test automation using Python, Robot Framework, and/or Anna Framework.
