DevOps Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a prominent technology consultancy, focusing on large-scale digital transformations for a diverse client base. The role involves designing and supporting AWS-based cloud platforms, optimizing CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating closely with stakeholders to deliver scalable, cloud-native solutions. The ideal candidate will leverage their extensive technical expertise and strong communication skills to engage with client teams effectively while contributing to architecture discussions and initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and support AWS-based cloud platforms.
• Develop and optimise CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using modern automation tooling.
• Build and maintain containerised environments.
• Support platform reliability, scalability and operational performance.
• Work closely with software engineering teams to improve delivery practices.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and technical decision-making.
• Engage directly with stakeholders and client teams.

Requirements

• 7+ years' commercial technology experience.
• Strong AWS engineering and cloud platform experience.
• Hands-on Terraform and Infrastructure as Code expertise.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub or CircleCI.
• Strong Docker and Kubernetes experience.
• Solid Python development experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Track record delivering long-term engagements within complex environments.
