Overview
The DevOps Engineer will join a rapidly growing technology product business to enhance their platform engineering capabilities. This role focuses on the design and implementation of scalable AWS infrastructure, as well as supporting software engineers to improve the overall developer experience. The engineer will work in a collaborative environment, fostering strong ties between infrastructure and development teams to create a modern cloud platform.
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code
- Develop and maintain reusable Terraform modules and platform tooling
- Support containerised workloads and orchestration platforms
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
- Drive platform reliability, security, observability and operational excellence
- Collaborate closely with Software Engineers to improve developer experience and productivity
- Contribute to architectural decisions across cloud, platform and application delivery
- Support the evolution of internal developer platforms and self-service capabilities
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Cloud Engineer
- Previous background in Software Engineering (e.g., Go, Java, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript)
- Deep AWS experience across cloud-native architectures
- Strong Terraform and Infrastructure as Code expertise
- Experience with container technologies and orchestration platforms
- CI/CD experience using modern automation tooling
- Strong understanding of cloud security, scalability, and reliability principles
- Experience in product-led engineering environments
