Overview
We are seeking a DevOps Platform Engineer to join a dynamic Data & Digitalisation team focused on building and scaling a new enterprise data platform within a major Commodity Trading House. This role requires a hybrid working arrangement, with approximately 50% dedicated to software engineering and 50% to infrastructure/platform engineering, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and open-source tools.
Responsibilities
- Build, develop and support a major enterprise data platform from scratch.
- Work extensively with Terraform to provision and manage infrastructure across multiple regions.
- Build and maintain Helm charts for application deployment.
- Utilize Kubernetes to manage containerized applications.
- Implement ArgoCD for continuous deployment and infrastructure management.
- Set up and deploy new open-source tools and technologies.
- Write production-quality software and APIs, primarily in C#/.NET and support backend services.
Requirements
- Strong background in Software Engineering, DevOps, or Platform Engineering.
- Extensive experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for orchestration and management.
- Proficient in creating and maintaining Helm charts.
- Familiarity with ArgoCD for deployment automation.
- Experience developing APIs, preferably in C# and/or Python.
- Experience working with on-premises infrastructure.
- Ability to build infrastructure or platforms from scratch.
