Overview
We are seeking a Tech Lead to oversee engineering efforts on a high-volume online marketplace undergoing a significant technology transformation. This role involves leading the migration to AWS and the development of a service-based architecture using TypeScript, JavaScript, and Python. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting technical direction and ensuring delivery in a fast-paced, scale-up environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering on a high-volume online marketplace during a technology transformation.
- Set technical direction for the migration to AWS and service-based architecture.
- Oversee the delivery of projects while ensuring engineering standards are met.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advocate for technical change.
- Maintain productivity and performance metrics in a demanding environment.
- Manage infrastructure as code, utilizing tools like Terraform or CDK.
- Ensure effective communication of technical decisions and strategies.
Requirements
- Principal-level engineering experience across cloud, architecture, data, authentication, front-end, and APIs.
- Proven track record of building service-based platforms in AWS.
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CDK.
- Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, and Python, with the ability to work with PHP (Laravel).
- Strong leadership skills in fast-moving, complex environments.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
