Overview
The DSP Firmware Engineer will play a key role in a fast-growing company focused on developing advanced communications infrastructure. Working within a motivated team of software and hardware engineers, the contractor will be responsible for designing and implementing DSP algorithms, testing FPGA firmware, and supporting hardware integration. This hybrid position offers the opportunity to engage with complex telecommunications problems in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, simulate, and implement DSP algorithms for communication and sensing systems.
- Develop, test, and verify FPGA firmware using VHDL and/or Verilog.
- Produce firmware designs based on system requirements and functional specifications.
- Support hardware integration and debugging within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
- Collaborate with software engineers to address complex telecom challenges.
Requirements
- 5+ years of FPGA/DSP development experience.
- Strong VHDL and/or Verilog design skills.
- Experience in FPGA simulation, verification, and testing.
- Knowledge of formal configuration control processes.
- Experience with C/C++ for SoC or embedded processor development is desirable.
- Familiarity with Xilinx Versal AI Engines and 5G/LTE communications.
- Demonstrated technical leadership experience.
