Overview
The Full Stack JavaScript Engineer will play a vital role in developing and implementing innovative web and mobile applications for a leading Ecommerce client. Working within an agile team, the contractor will collaborate with engineers, product owners, and business analysts to design and build robust systems, focusing on both front and back-end development using modern technologies such as React, TypeScript, and Node.js. The position requires expertise in API design and a strong understanding of DevOps practices.
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable web and mobile applications using React, TypeScript, and Node.js.
- Collaborate with product owners and business analysts to define and refine project requirements.
- Review and provide constructive feedback on code contributions from team members.
- Develop and maintain Node.js/GraphQL APIs for client-facing applications.
- Contribute to the planning and development of systems within an agile framework.
- Support team members in troubleshooting and resolving development challenges.
- Implement best practices in code quality, testing, and CI/CD processes.
Requirements
- Senior level experience in modern JavaScript development using TypeScript.
- Proficiency in front-end technologies including React and Next.js.
- Strong experience with back-end technologies such as Node.js.
- Understanding of API development and microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices including AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Previous experience with Stripe and Salesforce is highly desirable.
- Experience working in agile environments with an event-driven architecture.
