Overview
The Embedded Software Contractor will join a cohesive team focused on developing embedded Linux firmware for various target hardware platforms. They will work on critical aspects of device driver development, ensuring the integration and compatibility of firmware within an extensive project that extends until July 2027. The contractor will be involved in all phases of the firmware development process, collaborating closely with team members throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Develop embedded Linux firmware for OMAP and iMX6 hardware platforms.
- Implement software to support platform bring-up and peripheral integration like UART, SPI, I2C, and PCIe.
- Integrate firmware into the system, ensuring it works with existing software components.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues related to firmware and hardware/software interactions.
- Produce design documentation, test specifications, and release notes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in embedded Linux development.
- Strong knowledge of kernel configuration and BSP updates.
- Experience with device driver development and peripheral integration.
- Familiarity with investigation and resolution of firmware-related technical issues.
- Eligibility for a BPSS check is required.
