Overview
The Azure DevOps Engineer will engage in a part-time, hands-on role focused on designing, building, and maintaining secure and automated cloud environments within a highly regulated Azure ecosystem. Working one day per week onsite, the engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Lead Developers, DevOps Leads, Architects, Testers, and Product Owners to enhance software delivery efficiency through automation and Infrastructure as Code practices.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps with Git-based workflows.
- Deliver Infrastructure as Code using Bicep, ARM Templates, or Terraform.
- Manage Azure resources across Development, Testing, UAT, and Production environments.
- Embed security, compliance, and quality controls into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps).
- Support monitoring, logging, diagnostics, and deployment troubleshooting.
- Contribute to containerized solutions using Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) where applicable.
- Maintain documentation and participate in Agile ceremonies.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Azure, including Azure DevOps pipelines and release management.
- Solid knowledge of CI/CD and deployment automation.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code and Git.
- Good understanding of cloud networking, security, and identity management.
- Experience in enterprise or regulated environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with AKS, Docker, PowerShell/Bash, APM tooling, DevSecOps scanning, and DORA metrics is a plus.
