Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Data Scientist to join a well-established retail organization focused on leveraging data to enhance customer experience and drive commercial growth. In this contract position, the successful candidate will work in a collaborative environment, developing predictive models, analyzing large datasets, and translating complex insights into actionable business recommendations. Responsibilities
- Develop, validate, and deploy predictive models to support customer engagement and marketing strategies.
- Analyze extensive customer and transactional datasets to identify trends and actionable insights.
- Build and refine segmentation, propensity, forecasting, and recommendation models.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop effective analytical solutions.
- Communicate complex analytical results to both technical teams and executive leadership.
- Contribute to the improvement of data science methodologies and best practices.
- Monitor and evaluate model performance for accuracy and relevance.
Requirements
- Strong background in data science and analytics within a commercial setting.
- Advanced proficiency in Python for statistical analysis and machine learning.
- Robust SQL capabilities with experience in handling large-scale datasets.
- Experience in building predictive models, customer segmentation, and recommendation systems.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting complex findings to varied audiences.
- Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field is preferred.
